Established in 2005 by artist and designer Tanya Klonaris, My Ocean was born out of passion and Tanya’s love for the Bahamas. Educated at Rhode Island School of Design and Savannah College of Art and Design, Tanya returned with a clear vision: translate the wild beauty, vibrant colors, and textures of her islands into meaningful creations people could connect with.
Every creation is handmade, every piece is a gesture, a sensory journey—ceramics textured by coral, soaps that carry ocean air, candles infused with island scents, jewelry that echoes the tides, and textiles painted in island hues. In a sunlit Nassau studio tucked within a quiet island neighborhood, Tanya and her team capture the Bahamas in pieces you hold, stories you wear, and scents you breathe.
Today, with nine beautifully placed locations across Nassau and the islands, My Ocean continues to craft moments—not souvenirs. Every piece remembers the islands, every story is authentically Bahamian, and every visit invites you to carry home a piece of the soul of the Bahamas.

How it all started...
My Ocean began from an innate desire to create. A drive to express, interpret, and share the beauty and meaning that life imprints upon us. It started as a dream to honor the experiences, places, and stories that have shaped my journey, turning them into something tangible, beautiful, and lasting.
Growing up surrounded by the extraordinary colors, textures, and rhythms of the Bahamas inspired me deeply, and I wanted others to feel that same joy and connection. My Ocean was born from this desire, to pass on the happiness, inspiration, and wonder of my home to others.
